Valeria Fol is a Professor in the Institute for Balkan Studies with Center of Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). She is a member of the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency and Director of the Institute for Research, Management and Preservation of Cultural-Historical Heritage at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies. She obtained an M.Sc. in Ancient and Medieval History from Sofia University, a Ph.D. in Art (Antiquity) from the Institute of Art Studies - BAS, and a Doctorate of Science in Ancient History and Thracology from the Institute for Balkan Studies with Centre of Thracology (BAS). She is the author of nine books and over a hundred articles, studies and presentations.
